Hair repair and monoi

Posted on: 15/05/2019 | Categories: The benefits of Monoï

Beautiful hair is every woman's dream. Shiny, silky, strong and above all soft, healthy hair is a highly prized beauty and seduction asset. But it's hard to achieve a beautiful mane. But there is a remedy. Here's how to restore your hair to its former glory.

How does monoï repair your hair?

Monoi acts as a barrier between external aggressions and the hair fiber. By coating your hair with monoi, it's protected and nourished at the same time. However, it's best to avoid exposure to the sun, as this can burn the hair!

Monoï acts on hair by by tightening the scales of the fibers. This effectively fortifies hair in both summer and winter. The action of coconut oil will also deeply nourish even the driest or most brittle hair. This will invigorate hair, restoring its original softness and strength.

For a complete treatment, you should nourish the ends by coating them with monoi at least once a week. If hair is really damaged, the same procedure should be applied to the lengths.

Before shampooing, you can also apply a small amount of monoï to damp hair and leave on for 15 minutes. It will penetrate the fibers and act as a nourishing agent.

Finally, it can also be used as an intensive hair mask, applied to the hair overnight. Repeat every week until hair improves.

Why do we need to repair our hair?

External aggressions - the hair dryer, straightening iron, coloring products, etc. - tend to damage hair. When hair is split, frizzy or really dry, many women think it's best to cut it off. In reality, it's perfectly possible to repair it.

Having beautiful hair is not only a seductive asset, but also a sign of overall good health. So it's vital to take good care of your hair. If you damage your hair and don't take care of it, you run the risk of seeing it fall out as you age. So much so, in fact, that baldness can even occur in women.

Hair has no natural defenses. Yet it's exposed to the sun and wind, rubbed against chairs, seats and jackets, and attacked by various colorants and heat sources. All this inevitably results in a duller color, less shine, less vitality and resistance. They become increasingly difficult to style, as the scales of the hair fiber are lifted.

Other phenomena inevitably cause hair exhaustion: unbalanced diet, stress, fatigue, pregnancy, etc.

What to do in addition to monoi to repair your hair

It's very important to stop blow-drying or using straightening plates. Even the best accessories damage and burn hair. Ideally, you should wash your hair twice a week, using a shampoo that's adapted to your hair type and as natural as possible. Finishing a shampoo with cold water is ideal for tightening hair scales. Last but not least, a balanced diet, including fruit and vegetables, can help restore hair's strength and vitality.
