Are Tiaré flowers available in France?

Posted on: 21/11/2022 | Categories: All Monoï news

Are you so addicted to the scent of monoi that you want to find Tiare flowers? Well, that's no longer impossible! It's now possible to buy tiare flowers in France. Here's how.

Fresh tiare flowers for sale on the internet

Some people want to make their own monoï in France, or simply enhance their home cosmetics with an intoxicating scent reminiscent of vacations. For this, there's nothing better than tiare flowers. But it's not easy to find them here. Some specialist online stores sell fresh Tiare flower buds. But it can be difficult to get hold of them, since supplies are not regular and, what's more, with the problems linked to the health crisis, it's possible that restocking will be delayed or even complicated to obtain.

However, it is possible to find websites where you can ask to be informed of new arrivals, or where you can register on waiting lists.

Growing your own tiare at home: the simplest solution

Would you like to grow your own tiare flowers? There's a much more radical solution: grow them yourself! Although this flower grows naturally in Polynesia, you can also grow it at home in France. However, you'll need to take a few precautions, as the climate isn't at all the same and our soil isn't enriched with the same trace elements your plant needs.

Today, Gardenia Tahitensis can be found in a few nurseries. But beware: it's difficult to grow. The plant needs a certain level of humidity and a high ambient temperature to grow. It must therefore be kept indoors. It can reach the size of a shrub. Its evergreen foliage makes it an attractive, fleshy houseplant. When in bloom, the fragrance of its white, yellow and pink flowers is totally intoxicating.

Tiare's special features

In France, you won't be able to get a tree as tall as the one in Polynesia, but your bush can reach up to 150 cm if it's well cared for and if the conditions required for its growth are respected. It can also be voluminous, with a spread of up to 100 cm. It generally blooms from April to November, but its flowers are short-lived, never lasting more than 24 hours.

As you can see, this shrub needs water and warmth, as well as plenty of light. It can be kept in pots, but you'll need to change containers regularly, as it grows rapidly. Be sure to use sandy soil enriched with humus and high-quality compost. Of course, as you can imagine, it has very little resistance to the cold.
