Feel like discovering the flavors of Polynesia? As if you were on the Vai'ete plaza, fresh off the plane.
Discover our ultra-easy and quick recipe for raw fish in coconut milk, a fresh and light dish perfect for summer! ☀️

The secret to tender fish? A simple trick that changes everything! Watch the video to discover it, and get ready to treat your taste buds to this colorful, healthy delight.

Detailed recipe (serves 4):

Ingredients:

  • 1 piece of fresh white or red tuna (prefer line-caught, for the sake of the environment!)
  • 1 unripe tomato (firm is essential!)
  • 1 cucumber (Noa cucumbers are the most similar to those found in Polynesia!)
  • 1 small spring onion or 1 spring onionette
  • 25cl coconut milk
  • Salt
  • 2 limes

Preparation:

  1. Cut the fish into 1 cm cubes. Place in a bowl of room-temperature water and season generously with salt. This is our tip for incredibly tender tuna! Leave to stand while you prepare the vegetables.
  2. In the meantime: chop and seed the tomatoes, then place them on absorbent paper so that they lose some of their water.
  3. Cut the cucumber lengthwise, remove all the seeds and slice into 2 mm strips.
  4. Cut the spring onion (or spring onion) into thin strips and set aside.
  5. Carefully drain the tuna pieces and place in a salad bowl.
  6. Pour the juice of the 2 limes over the tuna and mix well. Leave to marinate for just 2 minutes: the lemon will "cook" the fish slightly.
  7. Drain the tuna again and gently mix with the prepared tomato and cucumber.
  8. Finally, add the coconut milk. Mix, taste and adjust the seasoning according to your preferences.
  9. For the finishing touch, sprinkle the chopped spring onion over the dish.

Serve and enjoy chilled! A real feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
