Full description for Tahiti Vanilla Beans Prestige Selection Taha'a Pack of 2

TwoTahitian vanilla beans grown on the island of Taha'a. Each bean offers an exceptional concentrationof flavor. Plump, supple, and rich in seeds, they release a unique floral and fruity aroma that will transform all your recipes into true gourmet creations.

This set of 2 Tahitian Vanilla Beans ( Prestige Selection) is not just for connoisseurs of exceptional products and baking enthusiasts.

Harvested at peak ripeness and then refined using traditional Polynesian methods, these pods belong to the prestigious Vanilla tahitensis variety, recognized worldwide for its incredible aromatic richness.

Each pod measures approximately 16 cm, and the set of 2 pods weighs at least 13 grams. Their generous texture, natural suppleness, and high concentration of seeds ensure optimal release of aromas in all culinary preparations.

Tahitian vanilla is distinguished by a particularly refined aromatic profile. As soon as the pod is opened, it releases an intense bouquet. This complex aromatic palette makes Vanilla tahitensis an essential staple for chefs, artisans, food lovers, and anyone who absolutely looooves vanilla.

ORIGIN:

These pods come from Taha’a, the Polynesian island world-renowned for the quality of its vanilla. Nicknamed“Vanilla Island,” it benefits from an exceptional natural environment where the tropical climate, fertile soil, and perfectly balanced humidity allow Tahitian vanilla to develop its full aromatic richness. The meticulous work of the growers—from manual pollination to the curing of the pods—helps make Taha’a an essential destination for connoisseurs of premium vanilla.

USES:

These two pods can be used to flavor a wide variety of dishes: dessert creams, ice cream, panna cotta, flans, jams, pastries, brioches, cookies, ganaches, sweet sauces, and even flavored rums. They also work well in certain savory recipes, adding a subtle touch to fish, shellfish, or poultry.

Gently split the pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds with the tip of a knife, and stir them into your mixture. The pod itself can then be steeped to extract the remaining flavors before being reused.

STORAGE:

To preserve the full quality of your pods over the long term, store them in an airtight glass jar (very important) away from light, heat, and excessive moisture. This storage method helps maintain their suppleness and full aromatic intensity for many months.

MISS MONOI’S TIP:

Pour a small amount of white rum, vodka, or neutral food-grade alcohol into your jar before adding the pods. This traditional method, long used in Polynesia, helps the vanilla retain its suppleness for a very long time. Some Polynesians preserve their finest beans this way for several years. Rest assured, their fragrance is usually so irresistible that they’ll quickly find their way into your recipes!

The alcohol, delicately infused with the pods, then becomes an excellent natural flavoring for pancake batter, cakes, brioche, or even homemade desserts.

After use, don’t throw away your vanilla beans. Let them dry naturally before placing them whole in a sugar container to create subtly vanilla-scented sugar. For an even more intense flavor, grind them into a powder and mix them directly into the sugar: you’ll create authentic vanilla sugar rich in flavor, without any artificial flavoring.
